Jessie Mapes is a singer, actress and Texas native who appeared in the cult classic film
Urban Cowboy with John Travolta & Debra Winger. She played Jessie La Rive, a sassy and spirited honky-tonk angel who conquered El Toro, the mechanical bull that busted up the honky-tonk romance of characters Bud and Sissy. She was Sissy's girlfriend in the movie.
Jessie also participated in the acclaimed 2015 documentary Urban Cowboy: The Rise and Fall of Gilley’s.
